What Are Barefoot Sandals?

First thing you will notice is that barefoot sandals are without sole. They look like flip flops when you look at them from above, with the beads that go from your toes all the way up your ankles. But this is where all similarities end. Without sole, barefoot sandals are something that's made more for decoration then for practical use.

Beads in different patterns and different materials are great if you want to draw attention to your feet. Wearing them on the sand will surely raise some interest in your flashy footwear. Just take a look at some wedding sandals out there and you will get the idea in what category beaded sandals are. They are extremely comfortable and attractive.

They can be made from diamonds, pearls, Swarovski crystals and any other materials that can be fitted on the string and that looks attractive. That is the most important part, to get the kind of look you want with the beads that suit you most.

These sandals are perfect for beach and walking on soft surfaces, like sand and grass. While you feel the warmth of sand or slight massage of the grass, your feet look classy and attractive while you wear your beaded sandals. To make them even more attractive, you can use some shimmering glass that will give some sparkles when sun hits them under the right angle. You will see how people will be surprised about that and will ask you where did you get your new flip flops. They are even in for more fun when they see you are missing soles under there.

One of better points of barefoot beaded sandals is that they are very versatile and can go with plenty outfits. Thongs or swimsuits will go quite well and leave better impression of your body. You can try and combine them with any type of clothes you want, there are no limitations. Only you know what suits you best and what gives you the best feeling when you walk barefoot, with some beads on your feet. If you don't like what market offers - simply create your own beaded barefoot sandals. There are lots of strings to use and different types of beads, so go for it.

Some types of materials you can use are: steel, nylon, gold, silver or leather. They make the base of your creation, so you just need to choose what kind of beads you want and you are on your way. Swarovski crystals, pearls, aqua glass or aurora borealis beads are just some of the materials that will make your barefoot sandals look great. Lots of choices, lots of sweet suffering for anyone who wants to make one.

One thing we want to mention here is to try and modify your sandals or flip flops. Sometimes you want to wear them, but the surface is too unfriendly. So you need a sole and you can get it from a flip flops you like while attaching beads onto them. This is not an easy task, but once you get the hang of it, you will create some great sandals for hot summer days.

Designer Wedding Shoes-Who Pays For Them?

Now if you are the groom, don't panic reading the title! If you are the father of the bride, chances are you are trying to hide it from your daughter! If you are the bride then probably you can't wait till we get to the meat of the article! Jokes apart, groom, father or the bride herself, special days call for special celebrations and your feet deserve that too.

Designer bridal shoes price from $300 to tens of thousands of dollars. What is so special? Well it is not just the brand name that you are associating yourself with, it is also the valuable material, the precious stones and the beautiful craftsmanship that come with designer brand which does cost a fortune. However designer shoes in the range of ten to twenty thousand dollars are generally made to order, especially crafted for the celebrities as per their desire. These shoes often are used as the hallmark for the design house. Business tycoons and celebrity weddings often have theme-based extravaganza where all the attendees are gifted designer shoes and designer wear to attend the wedding.

But yes, if you are bride and you may want to consider a bridal shoe not quite in the thousands but rather in the modest hundreds. Having a designer shoe has its own advantage:

These days there are designer shoes that can be dyed. This means that although you may buy your shoe in ivory or white matching the color of your gown you can later dye it to a color that best suits your evening wear.

A designer bridal shoe is not just for one day. You can wear it in your wedding parties and celebrations for a long time to come.

Designer shoes are mostly quite well made and last for a long time.

Most designer shoes have their own signature and let's accept it which girl would not want to indulge in once in a while?

So if you are convinced that spending $500 for a pair of shoes once in a lifetime is worth the extravagance, then probably your next question would be the type of shoe that you should settle for. Aren't designer shoes difficult to wear? Won't this pinch throughout? Would I be able to wear it ever again?

Well, designer shoes these days are a far cry from the ones that used to be difficult to walk around in. Today you can adjust the shoes as per your requirement in the store and take home something that you can wear for a lifetime comfortably. You will need to wear your shoes for long hours on that special day and you do not want to limp on your honeymoon either!

Stiletto designer shoes have always been and will always be a craze. They look smart, elegant and yes they do have that tiny bit of discomfort but ergonomically designed shoes can actually improve your gait, believe it or not! You can go for a low heel shoe or a pump as well, but the elegance that a pair of designer shoes will add to your attire is priceless.

Clarks Shoes, a Different Kind of Shoe Company

Clarks Shoes is one of those companies that every now and then come up with a masterpiece that takes the world by storm. This has been the modus operandi since way back in the beginning when the first footwear was designed and made by the man who started it all; Mr. Cyrus Clark. It happened over 180 years ago and today Clarks Shoes has become a household brand in many parts of the world.

When the Clark brothers started their business in the 1830s sheepskin slippers were one of their first projects. Humble beginnings indeed but with no lack of determination they set forth at a more rapid pace when Singer sewing machines made their appearance. Hard work and continued improvement of the product as well as customer satisfaction guaranteed long term success.

Inventions that placed Clark firmly ahead of the pack

The next major breakthrough came when the “Desert Boot” made its appearance. During the fifties Nathan Clark designed this boot after being inspired by British Army boots for simplicity and comfort. This was a smash hit. Apart from the fact that Clarks was already a household name in many parts of Europe this invention ensured their continuing success locally as well as abroad.

During the sixties one of the Clark descendents, namely Lance Clark, created what became known as a “Clark Classic”. The moccasin style shoe, named “The Wallabee”, came into existence. At the time this particular style became enormously popular all over the west, and Clarks’ popularity and success continued to grow and expand. The high standard set by the company in providing quality products as well as offering terrific customer service has become synonymous with the Clarks name.

One of the many reasons for their growing success is the fact that Clarks remains up to date with all aspects of existing as well as developing technology. Continuous research into all levels of manufacturing has led them to discover and use polyurethane in the shoe soles. The lightweight and hardwearing sole has remained popular up until now since its discovery in the early sixties.

The comfort that is provided by this particular sole has remained unsurpassed, and has become synonymous with the Clarks brand.

By today’s standards, Clarks is up there with the best. No shoe company could survive for long if it did not keep up with the trends and fashions, and Clarks has done all that and more. The company’s main focus is on comfort, quality and style, rather than glitz and glamour. Everything from casual to dress casuals, informal, sandals and clogs, pumps and boots and many more “everyday” shoes are available, for women, men, and children too. The huge range gets supplemented on a regular basis to meet the ever increasing demand for a quality as well as comfortable shoe. New styles are also regularly advertised and available online. Buying online has become a very convenient way to shop indeed. Clarks has made provisions for this situation as well as for those that find it difficult to get to a Clarks store. Every purchase comes with a money back guarantee if it does not meet the required standards. Service deliveries for online shoppers are known to be prompt and efficient.

Children’s shoes are another division of Clarks that is not only sought after but a preferred first choice of many parents. The added bonus is that they will most likely find everything needed and suitable for all ages and does not have to go hunting around. Clarks have always paid careful attention to all aspects of improving children’s shoes over the years. They remain up to this day the most popular shoe store for children in England.

Where are they heading?

Clarks ranks at the top of the shoe trade of the world. Over 40 million pairs of shoes are manufactured on a global scale annually. Amongst their success stories they have also managed to help under privileged and disadvantaged communities. One such community is in a township in South Africa where many adults have died of AIDS. Those that remain are left to take care of the many orphans and this has become a huge burden for the women that have taken on the responsibility.

Lance Clark came across this particular township and its plights and went on to establish a shoe manufacturing company called “Soul of Africa”. This wonderful opportunity enabled the creative township women to be trained in shoe making and eventually improve their living conditions on all levels. This they have managed to achieve, and production has expanded to the United States.

Well done, Clarks. Definitely another success story! Clarks Shoes has managed to evolve with the times and stay in fashion with comfortable, attractive styling as well as a corporate culture that is equally innovative.

A Baby's First Pair Of Shoes

From the time your baby was born you have thought your little one was busy after learning how to crawl, but learning to walk opens up a whole new territory for them, which is freedom!

Those little feet will be pattering all over the place, and you will be the one who will be needing new running shoes just to keep up them. While most pediatricians agree that the best shoes for developing feet is no shoes, those trips outside the home require good foot protection that will not interfere with the foot's growth. Knowing when to start your baby in walking shoes, as well as what type of shoes to look for are important factors for parents to consider, especially since baby's feet grow very fast approximately half size every two months.

Once your baby begins taking his or her first step, then it is time to get them their first pair of walking shoes. However, you need to keep in mind that these shoes are for protection and should be balanced with a fair amount of bare foot walking in safe environments to allow the child to discover how the foot works before having shoes on all day.

Baby shoes should have arch support as well as have soft and flexible soles that will allow their feet to grip the ground so they will have better balance. The shoe should not impede the normal development of the foot and the learning process. The bottom should be non slip and should have plenty of traction, but avoid those extra thick soles that might trip baby up.

Some feel that high top baby shoes are necessary for ankle support, which is not necessarily true. As long as a low top shoe has a sturdy heel, then it will provide good support for baby's ankles, but if you do choose high tops, then be sure that the baby can still wiggle his or her ankles so it is easier for them to walk in. Also, it is important to keep the baby's feet cool and comfy with shoes made of a breathable material.

How do you know if the shoe is a proper fit? You should be able to put your pinky finger in between the heel of the shoe and the baby's foot, and there should be about a thumb width between baby's toes and the end of the shoe. It is a good idea to have your baby walk around the store for a while in the shoe so that you can see how your baby walks in it. It is also important to determine if the shoe appears to be too heavy and if the child seems to trip over the shoe. When removing the shoe, then check for signs of chaffing or pinching. Just like adults, baby's feet may swell toward the end of the day, so it is better to go shopping in the afternoon to be sure the shoe will accommodate swollen feet.

From slip on loafers to Mary Janes, there are a lot of different styles of baby shoes. Choosing which one works best for you and your baby is really a matter of personal choice. Velcro shoes are the easiest for baby to learn how to fasten and refasten, and they are also quicker for you to put on and take off compared to lace ups, which you will have to retie often. However, it is important to choose a shoe that will allow your child to grow, because the majority of parents will want their baby's shoe bronzed and personalized for keep sakes.

Shoe designers have humbly accepted the challenge of creating fashion provoking shoes and have proven their artistic creativity better than you would have ever wanted in this recession-hit period. If you are committed to fashion, it’s going to be really hard for you to resist the temptation of maxing out your credit card this winter, what with the wide variety of must have shoes and high heels.

Heel Trends for winter

This winter the drop in temperature does not necessarily mean you need to drop your heels too! While there are a lot of exciting flat ankle boots and cute sandals for those who prefer to play it safe and comfortable on flats, there are a lot more tempting high heel shoe options for those who don’t give a damn about aching calves and sore toes, but rather want to be in the fashion limelight.

The dagger like stiletto with killer high heels of four inches and above will be there to add a touch of sexiness to winter skirts and dresses. Though you may also notice a bit of innovation to stilettos this season as shoe designers have increased the height of the heel and added a platform to the shoe. Another trend of winter 2009 is thick high heel covered in the same fabric as the shoe itself – so make sure you keep a look out for those and add a pair to your collection. Wedge heels are expected to evolve in style and design this season too, and thus don a more interesting appearance over all.

Great Reasons To Buy Designer Shoes

No matter where you are in the world, there is no limit to the variety of designer shoes available for purchase. Designer shoes can be bought in a number of shops as well as through online manufacturers for those who are looking for that hard to find designer style. Although some women (and men) choose to buy shoes that are less expensive and readily available at a number of local department stores or warehouses, there is still a loyal following of consumers that will not waver from their favorite designer label.

There can be many different reasons why someone would choose designer shoes over your run-of-the-mill discount store brand which are significantly cheaper in price and easier to obtain in some rural centres. Each person will have their own personal reasons for having designer shoes in their closet, but on average there are some basic motives that will direct their choices for this type of footwear. For a consumer that typically purchases cheaper, lower quality shoes, sometimes all it takes is one good pair of designer shoes to sway their vote and begin the process of obtaining better quality, high-end designer shoes from then on.

Quality Materials and Construction: The materials used in designer shoes are significantly different than regular footwear you may have once owned. Once you have tried on a pair of designer shoes and owned them for some time, you will notice the quality of the materials used in manufacturing them. Special or hard to obtain materials can be used to create your favorite pair of footwear. Real leather or similar superior materials are used to form to your foot better, withstand wear and tear easier than cheaper materials, and can ward off damage caused by exposure to the elements such as water or heat if treated properly. Having footwear created with high quality materials can mean the difference between a comfortable pair of shoes that you want to wear and ones that are awkward or difficult and sit in your closet for most of the time.

Style: Many designer shoes have their own sense of style that you will not find in a discount shoe store or warehouse. The obsession with purchasing shoes that are unique and hard to find in your city can make all the difference when you are in search of a perfect pair of footwear to your next big event or outing. Having a great pair of designer shoes that is not readily available at the local store can complete the outfit you have and make you the envy of all of your friends. For some consumers, footwear exclusive to a designer label makes your purchase that much more enticing, since it ensures that there are few others sporting the same style or color of designer shoes that you have.

If you would talk to friends or family who has experienced designer footwear, each one will have their very own reasons for their purchases. They can differ slightly, but on average, quality of materials, construction and style are the top reasons why this type of footwear has a loyal following.

Stiletto Shoes – Latest Trends In Ultra Thin High Heel Shoes

Stiletto Shoes

Labeled super sexy in the genre of high heel shoes for women, stiletto shoes are most coveted by women who love to be seen a notch higher than others, in fashion and otherwise.

Read on to know more about the stylish stiletto shoes that instantly raise the sex appeal of your dress from zero to sixty. The article also talks about the latest trends is stiletto shoes in terms of style, shape and color to help you make a more informed decision when you go on a stiletto shoes shopping spree next time.

What are Stiletto Shoes?
‘Ultra thin shoes with ultra thin heels’, is what our ultra trendy stiletto shoes can best be defined as. The popular shoe derives its name from ‘Stiletto Dagger’ which is endowed with a murderous long slender blade. Aptly named, stiletto shoes are no less dangerous than their namesake with the length of their heels typically varying from 4 inches to 8 inches or more!

Stiletto shoes are sometimes also defined as shoes with heels having a diameter at the ground of less than 1 cm (slightly less than half an inch). Stiletto-style heels shorter than 5 cm are called kitten heels.

Stiletto shoes became popular in 1950s when a thin metal rod was placed within the heel to make it strong enough to support the weight of a person. Today, stiletto heels have become extremely popular and are found in various types of shoes and boots such as sling-backs, pumps, mules, ankle boots etc. Stiletto shoes have become on and off ageing fashion accessories several times since then. The slender stiletto heels however, staged a major comeback after 2000, when young women adopted the style for dressing up office wear or adding a feminine touch to casual wear like jeans.

Nowadays stiletto shoes are highly popular. While the kitten heel versions have become an everyday office and party wear, higher heel versions are associated with the image of femme fatale and are known more their erotic nature than for their ability to make height.

Latest Trend in Stiletto Shoes
Stilettos are a hot rage these days! More and more women are realizing the inherent power of stilettos to make the wearer look slimmer, taller and sexier. Shoe designers too are harping on the growing penchant for stiletto shoes amongst women and displaying creativity more than ever when it comes to stiletto heels. From ballet and fetish styles to sleek and classic, there’s a stiletto shoe for woman of every age, style and attitude.

Style – Stiletto shoes are available in chic and intriguing styles. Lace-up, ankle boots, knee-length, thigh high, court shoe, pumps, mules and pointed toe shoe, all genres of shoes are experimenting with spindly stiletto heels and are being lapped up by fashion conscious ladies.

To further accentuate the fun of sleek and sexy stiletto shoes, designers are playing with buckles, zippers, clasps to glitter, rhinestones, crystals and more. Two tones, flames, animal prints are also making a mark in stiletto shoes.

Shape - A popular trend observed in stiletto shoes these days are pointed toe shoes. These shoes are slender and elongated in shape just as the stiletto heel themselves and make the foot appear smaller and sexier. However, women also have the option of going in for more rounded or squared toe stiletto shoes if the slimmer versions are bit too uncomfortable for them.

Color – A lot of experimentation can be seen in terms of colors when it comes to stilettos shoes. Classic shades of brown, grey and black are sharing shelf space with the bolder and flirty tones of deep red, purple, white, pink, yellow and green. Gold, silver, clear and glitter are also catching attention at the same time.

Choosing Running Shoes

One of the most popular fitness activities of all time is running or jogging. A great workout for the entire body and a great way to get a thorough cardiovascular workout, running has been a part of training for virtually every other sport known to man. It is also one of the most pleasurable, as it takes you outside and allows you to exercise in any environment you choose. Running can be done in a city, around your neighborhood, at the local athletic fields or out in the woods on a lovely trail. There is also the meditative nature of the sport, and the runners high associated with a euphoric state that comes after running for a period of time. Another great thing about running is that it requires a minimum of equipment, the most important of which is the running shoes. Choosing the right running shoes is a crucial step in making sure your experience is an enjoyable an d safe one when taking up jogging.

There are many different styles to choose from when selecting a running shoe, and the proper choice depends on a few factors. Try not to get too hung up on the colors or appearance of the shoe, but make sure you are choosing a proper kind for your feet and body type. It helps to determine whether your need support on the inside of the shoe or the outside, and how much arch support is required. The amount of rolling your foot does toward the inside, or lack of it is known as pronation. To determine whether you are an over or under pronator, check the men's shoes or women's shoes you wear most often at the moment and look at the soles. If the most wear is to be found on the outside, you may generally tend to underpronate, but if the wear is more towards the inside, you are perhaps an overpronator.

If support is required on the inside, then you want to find an athletic shoe that is straight lasted, which means the sole of the shoe is straighter along the arch and therefore offers more support in this area. Often you will see running shoes with built up supports under the arch, and this is specifically designed to give inside support. Also, shoes that are board lasted or combination lasted will offer more interior support. To check the last, take the removable sock liner out of the shoes and look at the inside of the bottom. If there is a stitch running from the heel to the toe, this is called a slip last. If there is a solid board under running from heel to toe, this is called board lasted. If there is a solid board under the heel, and a stitch running from the board up to the toe, this is called combination lasted.

If your require more support on the outside of the shoes, then choose a curve lasted shoe, which means there is a considerable curve to the shape of the sole of the shoe. This will encourage more roll toward the inside and alleviate underpronation. A slip lasted shoe will do this as well, and you will notice that most good running shoes with a curved last are also slip lasted.

As always, make sure the shoe is fit properly, with no slippage at the heel. Also make sure your toes are not crushed into the toe box at the front of the shoe, and the shoe does pinch at the sides or across the top. Good running shoes tend to be as light weight as possible while offering the maximum amount of support for your foot and gait type. Buying shoes online from a discount online shoe store is a great way to get the best shoes and a great price.
